We actively put people before profit.

We’re passionate about growing communities of global thinkers and explorers, at home and abroad – whatever their story. There are many young people from every walk of life who get a buzz from discovering new cultures, exploring new flavours, and learning what’s out there. But this isn’t an opportunity that’s open to all.

We set up our One-for-One Initiative to give something back to the world we love exploring. For every week a paying student studies with us, we give one week of learning away to someone who really needs it.

One-for-One

What we do

We give our time, knowledge, and funding to help children and charities in our student’s home countries.

Raising awareness is an important part of our work. We use our voice to actively participate in causes we believe in as often as possible. Our events programmes regularly include speakers from international charities and fundraising initiatives, and we get involved in events like International Women’s Day and Refugee Week.

And it goes beyond our personal efforts. We want our students to actively give back to the world around them and promoting our values by taking responsibility for people and planet.

Educating them and inspiring action, is a key measure of our success.

Why we do it

Global spirits aren’t just those that are lucky enough to be able to travel and learn abroad.

Adventuring across the world to study is an amazing and enriching experience that opens minds and changes lives, but it isn’t a door that’s open to all.

Our One for One Initiative gives young and disadvantaged people a chance to learn essential skills that will enrich their lives, whatever their journey in life. We want to inspire the next generation of explorers, wherever they are.

How we do it

We work with organisations that share and support our mission to provide education to those that most need it and use funds that would otherwise be classed as profit.

For every week a student studies with us, we promise to donate a week to a charity from their country or region. We work closely with existing local charities and donate either a teacher or match the funding for lessons.

Who we're helping

We support young learners aged 12 to 16:

- From disadvantaged communities
- In our students' home countries
- Through partnerships with registered NGOs

Willinton’s story with Bayswater

At 11, Willinton joined Fundación Caminos’ football project. While many of his friends from the neighbourhood fell into drugs and crime, he remained dedicated to his training, never missing a single session. When he finished high school, Willinton set his sights on a career in accounting. With support from the Foundation, he began studying and also joined the English classes. Willinton approached learning English with the same commitment he had shown in football, never missing a lesson. He learned quickly through listening and reading, often helping his classmates explaining the meanings of unfamiliar words.

Our annual reports

We produce annual reports on what the Bayswater Foundation has been up to inside and outside of our schools.

Get Involved

If you want to help our projects beyond our one-for-one commitment, we welcome donations. For as little as £3 per week, you can help fund English classes for less fortunate children and teenagers.
